Oil on collage on wood panel, 15x15cm unframed (2026)
I have been painting a series of spiders in corners of rooms as I am interested in nature in the context of our architecture spaces and our emotional relationship to it. "Everything is a mystery, ourselves, and all things both simple and humble." said Morandi. As an artist I have a poetic interpretation of space. The spider paintings seek to articulate that as well as allowing me to play with the rich mythology that spiders have in many different cultures.
This spider “Noah” is named after the artist Noah Davis.
