"Everything is a mystery, ourselves, and all things both simple and humble." Morandi.
In my practice I think a lot about space, psychological space, warped space, liminal space, infinite space, uncertainty, endless movement and the transience of all things. I seek out connections, emotional, lyrical, often with links to poetry, film, literature and other works of art. Although I may try and explain my work, it will always be ambiguous because it is more about feeling than thinking.
“The truth is not to be told- because you don’t want to tell your truth. Whatever I want to tell people about myself is already in what I have made.” Ingmar Bergman (Time Magazine, 24 June 1991)
